About the Band

George HutchisonGeorge Hutchison

On male vocals and guitar George Hutchison was formerly guitarist with Scottish band Horse who enjoyed chart success with several albums and singles from the early nineties onwards. He then joined Liverpool band The River City People while they also had chart success with two albums and several singles, including their cover of "California Dreaming", which made top ten in the UK singles chart. As a writer and musician signed to EMI music publishing George worked with a diverse roster of acts including Take That's Mark Owen, Cathy Denis and also Billy Myers, with whom he played and contributed songs on her album "Growing Pains". The album achieved platinum sales worldwide and gave rise to the single "Kiss the Rain", a top 5 hit on both sides of the atlantic. Currently he performs as Bjorn in the hugely successful Abba tribute group Bjorn Again. The band have been remarkably successful for over twenty years and still play major festivals like Glastonbury, T in the Park, V and the Isle of White, as well as supporting major acts like Cher, Shania Twain, Greene Day and selling out their own headline theatre and Arena tours all over the world. George has recently completed a Masters Degree in Music Education, and provides private guitar lessons in Glasgow.

 

Odette Clark

Presenting some of Scotland's most accomplished musicians and performers The Saturns comprise, on female vocals Odette Clark who enjoyed chart success here and in Japan with her single "Stay". She can be heard duetting with Dean Park on his highly successful "In Concert" album as well as providing all the backing vocals. Odette has toured the UK extensively and regularly features with many of the counties biggest theatre stars, sharing the bill and performing with artists like Joe Longthorne, The Krankies, Freddie Starr, Brenda Cochrane, Bobby Crush, Allan Stewart, Still Game's Greg Hemphill and Bobby Davro, as well as providing vocals for the legendary Keith Harris and Orville!

 

Mark ForshawMark Forshaw

Mark Forshaw has had the privilege of working with many top name acts such as Van Morrison, Hue and Cry, Mica Paris, The Christians and Omar. Mark also played drums for Jamiroquis first ever TV debut with a very nervous Jay Kay! Mark has toured and recorded all over mainland Europe and America and has survived. He brings to the table the solid driving rhythms that are the engine room of the “Saturns”. Mark also writes and produces music and has been lecturing for 12 years in Music Technology with in the F.E college sector. Well liked by his students, they love to hear his anecdotal stories of working in some of the world’s best recording studios and the time he found himself gigging in a hairdressers!

 

Steve CookeSteve Cooke

Keyboards and vocals are provided by Steve Cooke who graduated with an HND in Popular Music from Esk Valley before joining the band Horse for their second Album "God's Home Movie" and then touring extensively, making numerous TV appearances with the group. He subsequently set up a successful recording studio and formed a production team with friend and colleague Steve Cochrane, working with acts like KT Tunstall and Finlay Quaye.

 

Craig AinslieCraig Ainslie

Craig Ainlsie recently graduated from Napier with a First Class degree in Popular Music and plays bass with rising Scottish music star Sorren Maclean. Craig is a highly accomplished player carving a successful career as a session musician, lecturer and music tutor here in Scotland. He is a first call player for many of the most established function and original bands currently working in the country.
